what is A power supply ?



 A power supply is a component of a computer that converts AC (alternating current) power from an electrical outlet into DC (direct current) power that can be used by the computer's internal components. The power supply unit (PSU) is responsible for providing stable and reliable power to the motherboard, processor, memory, storage devices, and other components. The wattage of a power supply determines how much power it can deliver to the computer's components. A higher wattage PSU is required for computers with high-end graphics cards or multiple hard drives. The PSU also contains various safety features such as over-voltage protection, under-voltage protection, and short-circuit protection to prevent damage to the computer in case of a power surge or other electrical issues.
