what is Multislice CT?

Multislice CT (computed tomography) is a type of medical imaging technology that uses X-rays to create detailed images of the body. Unlike traditional CT scanners, which use a single X-ray source and detector, multislice CT scanners have multiple rows of detectors that can capture multiple images simultaneously. This allows for faster scanning times and higher resolution images. Multislice CT is commonly used in diagnostic imaging to detect and diagnose a wide range of medical conditions, including cancer, heart disease, and neurological disorders. It is also used in interventional radiology procedures to guide minimally invasive treatments such as biopsies or catheter-based therapies.
